- Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
- Will correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority, although the Safety Officer may exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
- Maintains awareness of active and developing situations.
- Ensures the Site Safety and Health Plan is prepared and implemented.
- Monitor local area compliance with OHS policy and procedures.
- Help promote OHS awareness.
- Develop the Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) depending on the nature of the activity and implement them.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or Engineering or any relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Construction HSE fields.
- A professional health and safety certification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH is preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Willing to be based in the Western Region of Abu Dhabi
