    Job Purpose

    This job role is ensured that all Marine Operations support activities related to the Docks, Load-out barge, ship lift, berths and Basin are carried out safely in accordance with IMI Policies and Procedures.

    Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensure all equipment and tools related to the work activities are used safely and environmentally friendly following manufacturer guidelines and returned to the storage location to avoid any damage or deterioration.
    • Ensure that the work assignment defined by the line management within the scope of his job is fulfilled safely, efficiently and within the time frame allocated.
    • To duly report to his line management in due time and whenever requested, the actual job progress and any discrepancy that may delay his job.
    • To ensure adhering to company procedures and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (QSHE) general rules and best practices.
    • To hand over the job assignment to his colleague at the end of his shift, allowing smooth workflow and efficient productivity.
    • To ensure proper housekeeping of his work location at the end of his job.
    • Ensure smooth coordination with Asset Management and required support is given to conduct the maintenance activities related to the Marine Operations Assets as per the company's HSE procedures and without any delay.
    • Communicate in due time to the Asset Management help desk and to his related line management about any equipment failure or non-conformity presenting a hazard or that may lead to job delay.
    • Be fully aware and in compliance with the guidance received during the training related to the safe manual handling techniques, safe mooring line practices, confined spaces entry, working at height and other Marine Operation courses and certifications.
    • Maintain workshops and stores housekeeping to a high standard.
    • Perform reconditioning of the Marine Operation assets (Such as but not limited to the docking
    • stools/blocks, mooring winches & capstans, FRC, Pneumatic ) as per the guidance received.
    • Conduct very basic preservation of the marine assets whenever required: chipping, grinding, buffing, manual painting, washing, greasing, stenciling,
    • Participate in the safe mooring and unmooring operation of vessels, rigs, and other floating assets.
    • Participate in the safe docking and undocking, load out and floating off, ship lift and transfer operations as per the Marine Operation requirement.
    • Assisting in the shifting/rigging of marine assets using forklift, crane, or trailer.
    • Assisting in the installation of the gangways and access towers for the rigs and different types of vessels.
    • Assisting in maintaining the inventory of the Marines assets and tools (Docking stools/blocks, mooring ropes, FRC, Pneumatic )

    • Marine Operations Managers, Superintendents/Dock Masters,
    • Supervisors, and operators.
    • Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance team.
    • Asset management representatives

    External Interactions:

    • Marine Assets Operators
    • HSEQ Advisors
    • Training Coordinators

    Who we are looking for

    Education:

    • Diploma degree or equivalent qualification.

    Experience:

    • At least 3-6 years of experience of navigation on board of vessels/OSV/Tugs, or in the Offshore Oil and Gas field, or in Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.

    Professional Qualifications

    • Third party Certification of rigging level 1

    Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

    • Having basic Computer skill (Word/Excel)
    • Read and write computer-generated service task sheet.
    • Having awareness about on site basic HSE and emergency response requirements.
    • Confined space training.
    • Mooring lines handling
    • Working at height
    • Safe manual handling techniques

    Languages:

    • Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written) in the English Language.
