Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - Roads to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this crucial role, you will lead and oversee various road infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while adhering to local regulations and international best practices.

• Manage and supervise road engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
• Develop and review technical designs, specifications, and calculations for road infrastructure projects
• Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and local Abu Dhabi regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Analyze survey data and engineering submittals to identify and resolve potential issues in road design and construction
• Implement innovative solutions and sustainable practices in road engineering projects
• Develop and maintain quality control measures to uphold project standards and ensure long-term durability of road infrastructure
• Prepare detailed reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions for senior management and clients
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in road engineering and infrastructure development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in road construction supervision and management
• Specialized knowledge in road engineering, infrastructure design, and sustainable construction practices
• Strong technical expertise in civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on road infrastructure
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents related to road projects
• Experience with CAD software, project management tools, and road design software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions for complex road engineering challenges
• Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team management and mentoring junior engineers
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems and international construction standards applicable to road infrastructure
• Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with sustainable road design and construction practices, including environmentally friendly materials and techniques
