    Description
    Job PurposeTo provide general office administration support to the Procurement Management to ensure the procurement, inventory and logistics related matters are handled in accordance with the contractual terms and obligationsJob Purpose


    Process purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments with originating requestsCompare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bids among potential suppliersDetermine if purchasing inventory reports required from customersRespond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellationsPerform buying duties when necessaryContact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problemsReview and track requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specificationsCalculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accountsUndertake the general tasks of warehouses with regards to executing movement of goodsAssist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practices with due regard to sustainability and ethical purchasing standardsParticipate in internal and external meetings, to promote procurement best practicesSafety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization.

    The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function


    Educational Qualification:
    Diploma in Procurement or a related discipline


    Experience:
    2 years' experience in a similar role


    Special Technical Skills:
    English language proficiency required. Working knowledge of Arabic preferred.

    Knowledge and experience of the following required:
    Use and delivery of modern and professional procurement techniques in the public, private or voluntary sectors.
    Delivering cost reduction and cashable savings through use of appropriate sourcing, contract management and supplier management tools and techniques.
