Experience as a Structural Engineer in a fabrication environmentBachelor of Science Engineering degree from an ABETaccreditedprogram Proficient in Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System andMicrosoft Office Suite Experience in Risa 2D Risa 3D SAP 2000Responsibilities will primarily include but are not limited to thefollowing:

Performing structural analysis and engaging in thedesign of steel and/or transportation structures for both newconstruction and rehabilitation Preparing technical/design reportsand calculations packages Preparing construction drawings andspecifications Attending design meetings and site inspections withour clients subconsultants and partners on an as needed basisInteracting and collaborating with our inhouse drafters and otherengineers Designing various structures and producing contractdocuments for various building types retaining walls foundationsand wastewater treatment plant Communicates with other departmentsto ensure all documentation required is contained within the tendersubmission.

Prepares work to be accomplished by gatheringinformation and requirements; setting priorities. Preparesconstruction budget by studying plans; updating specifications;identifying and projecting costs for each elevation. Evaluatesoffers to purchase by costing changes additions and siterequirements. Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors byspecifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors;negotiating price. Maintains cost keys and price masters byupdating information. Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting andanalyzing information.

Prepares draft tender documents to ensureall systems and components of the tender are included Interprets& review system drawings to identify any difference totender requirements and raise queries against specification.

Construes and follow company tendering processes and procedures toensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant disciplinecodes and standards.

Reviews the design outputs for compliance withcontractual requirement.

Gathers opinion of the project team andfabrication team on the engineering details to prepare finalcontrolled documents of tender Assess the impact due to designchanges and revision works due to client instructions.

Ensures theproject output meeting to the requirement of codes andspecifications. Would be responsible for the filling of varioustenders with all the formalities. Maintains quality service byfollowing organization standards. Maintains continuity amongcorporate division and local work teams by documenting andcommunicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attendingeducational workshops; reviewing professional publications;establishing personal networks; participating in professionalsocieties. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relatedresults as needed.

Requirements

preferred but not required Experience in the structuralanalysis and design of structural projects preferred Experience inETABS is preferred but not required Qualification:
Bachelor degreein Civil or Structural Engineering and Masters Degree in StructuralEngineering
