Scope
Commis I is responsible to prepare all ingredients and basic mise-en-place and assist the chefs in various section of kitchen as instructed by supervisor in preparing all the dishes related to the restaurant outlet.
Commis I is executed satisfactorily when:
- All rules & regulations are strictly adhered within the company including internal policy, essential food, health, and safety as well as hygiene regulations including HACCP and Dubai Municipality/Food Watch compliance.
- Perform cooking, cleaning, delivery, receiving, and other support duties as instructed and ensure that kitchen operations run smoothly.
Experience
- 2 years minimum in a fivestar hotel or chain of restaurants.
- Previous Restaurant Experience, Extensive Food and Beverage Knowledge and Restaurant Industry Knowledge
- Solid Culinary Basics & Techniques
- Basic Food Safety Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
Personal Characteristics & Skills
- Working with multicultural teams.
- Ability to communicate in English with guests, coworkers, and management to their understanding.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
Commis Chef: 2 years (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
License/Certification:
- HACCP Certification (preferred)
