Job Purpose


The purpose of the 'Manager - C&IB Marketing' role is to support the marketing function in developing and delivering effective marketing activities and experiences to the Corporate and Institutional Banking business.

The role involves fostering strong business partnerships and managing day-to-day marketing activities to effectively promote and increase awareness on C&IB's services, value-added offerings and its distinctive benefits while contributing to business objectives and the bottom line.


Main Tasks

  • Plan and deliver content marketing material based on an approved plan
  • Draft effective communications and key messages in line with brand and business narrative
  • Deliver compelling and integrated contents that conveys the valueadded offerings and distinctive benefits behind C&IB's business
  • Plan and deliver effective targeted contents based on distribution model with optimized online/offline media channel selection
  • Run and manage a calendar of relevant content on respective channels (social posts/podcasts/web series/etc)
  • Ensure constant updates to digital and traditional owned platforms
  • Support the development and delivery of long and shortterm operational plans for the department
  • Manage the daytoday implementation of long and shortterm plans, and ensure they are effectively converted into performance objectives to achieve established service levels.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's KPI's and ensure proper cascade of the Performance objectives to direct reports
  • Provide input for preparation of the department budgets
  • Assist in the implementation of the approved budget, and work plans to deliver objectives
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
  • Manage an extended network of suppliers, partners, and service providers to enable successful delivery of annual marketing plans
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and internal controls, to support execution of the department's work programs in line with Company standards
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders within the C&IB business
  • Work closely with the business heads to understand their goals and objectives
  • Provide strategic and creative ideas to the business
  • Conduct frequent meetings and engagements with the heads
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams (IT, compliance, finance, other marketing teams, etc) to ensure successful launch of products or initiatives
  • Support in training key C&IB spokespeople to represent the business and showcase the breadth of expertise
  • Present status reports and dashboard on content and campaign performance and share metrics as and when needed
  • Manage and execute a set of networking (businessfocused + social) events for C&IB business to build and maintain key client relationships
  • Manage a set of "money can't buy" experiences for key clientele
  • Support and deliver targeted (BTL) marketing campaigns in line with business objectives
  • Seek feedback from business to continuously improve marketing strategies and materials
  • Analyse performance and metrics for future planning and improvements
  • Recommend new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Recommend improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with approved standards

Description of Knowledge / Skill etc.

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or a similar field
  • Postgraduate degrees in marketing / strategic communications
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Management experience in corporate bank marketing, financial services, etc.
  • Experience in MENAT region
