• Deliver the seasonal design themesdirectional boards in line with global trends and home centrecustomer taste and commercial calendar (concept, colour paletteproduct direction, print direction, design briefsetc.)
• Research and analyse actively the DesignWatch and its communication within the company (Exhibitionsreports, fairs, territory visits,etc.)
• Facilitate the global trend direction andcoordination through the Home Centre StyleGuide.
• As a product designer for hard goods,your primary responsibility will be to create innovative andfunctional designs for various products.
• Youwill work closely with buyers & manufacturers to developproducts that meet the needs of the target market. This involvesconducting market research, creating sketches and prototypes, andtesting the product for functionality anddurability.
• The designer will be responsiblefor ensuring that the products adhere to industry standards andregulations, also making necessary modifications to the design tomeet these standards.
• To excel in this role,you will In terms of technical skills, proficiency incomputer-aided design (CAD) software is a must.. You must also havea good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes toensure that your designs are feasible andcost-effective.
• Creativity is at the core ofproduct design, and as such, you must possess a strong sense ofaesthetics and be able to think outside the box. You should alsohave a good understanding of functional design and the ability todesign products that are user-friendly and visuallyappealing.
• Conduct regular competitor andmiddle east market analysis.
• As a productdesigner, you will be working with a team, and the ability tocollaborate and communicate effectively is crucial for the successof the project.
