Description

Ensures that the services of repairs performed on every vehicle satisfy the repair & quality standard by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Able to diagnose mechanical and electrical defects in cars, especially European and Luxury vehicles.
Able to resolve the challenges faced with most of the cars.
Ability to use diagnostic scanners and software programming
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the function and operation of the various mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems found on the vehicles on which the service department normally works.
Checks progress of each repair order throughout the day.
Ensures that customer vehicles are fixed right from the first time.
Ensures that repairs are carried out within promised delivery time and estimated cost.
Avoids unnecessary replacement of spare parts.
Orders and follows up parts order with Parts Department.
Inspects and test drives vehicle on which repairs are performed.
Returns those vehicles failing the quality control inspection to the technician who performed work.
Provides the servicing technician with an accurate description of the reason for returning the vehicles to them and assist/guide him to solve the problem.
Signs off satisfactory accomplished jobs and any additional job(s) found for customer's approval/information.
Ensures technicians record jobs done as on the job card.
Advises management regarding technician job performance, training needs, and other specific areas as requested by management.
Assists the service advisors in identifying and/or diagnosing vehicle problems when needed.
Conducts OJT for his group technicians.
Proper utilization of service facilities e.g. equipment, SST, manuals, testers, etc.
Ensures that proper maintenance is carried out on equipment, assigned to his group
Writes technical report.
Maintains high standard of premise cleanliness.
Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance for himself and his group.
Arrives at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
Reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training subordinates; planning, assigning and direction work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and /or Experience:

Prefer Vocational school graduate. Familiar with automotive technical knowledge year experience as a technician.

Language Skills:

Preferably English/Arabic speaking

Other Skills and Abilities:

Familiar on all kinds of service equipment and tools as to its usage's

Have a UAE driving licence
