Description
To ensure a smooth and efficient operationsof the SeaWorld Abu Dhabi facilities in Zoological Department bysafely fulfilling the duties in animal/guest interactions,husbandry, enrichment, general public presentations, andresearch.
Job scope:
Performs daily husbandrytasks including administration of vitamins and medication asdirected Prepares food, provides proper nutrition and constant careof animals Maintains a safe, appropriate and sanitary livingconditions for all animal habitats Learns behavior modificationtechniques under the supervision of more experienced colleagues.
This includes but is not limited to the training of behaviors tocompletion, proactively maintaining conditioned behavior, and theability to form relationships with assigned animals.
Ensuresguests, personal, and animals' safety through constantmonitoring of the behavioral precursors of potentially harmfulbehavior by both animals and people. Provides proactive guestservices through guest interactions, animal presentation andprograms in the assigned area, and responding to guest inquiries.Performs assigned roles in education and general public programs,and guest interaction programs Makes daily observations of animalsand reports any abnormalities to the leadership team Maintains allanimal records, equipment, area responsibilities, and communicationrequirements on a daily basis Functions as Ambassador by displayingconsideration, tolerance, cooperation, open communication, andreliability; maintains a consistent attitude, motivation, andability to accept feedback Ensures all policies, guidelines,manuals and SOPs are followed at all times Consistently practicessafe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personalprotective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situationsParticipates on the required trainings and maintains professiondevelopment and competencies Performs other duties as directed bythe leadership
