Network Architect with high level experience in designing ultra-low latency infrastructure.

Role Overview:


Duties and Responsibilities:


Design and Architectural Expertise:


  • Design, develop, and implement ultralow latency network architectures for the capital markets industry, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Develop and document network architecture blueprints, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Evaluate and recommend network equipment, protocols, and technologies to optimize network performance and meet business requirements.

Infrastructure Optimization:


  • Continuously analyze, optimize, and finetune network infrastructure to achieve ultralow latency, high throughput, and efficient data transmission.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and address network bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance for trading platforms and financial systems.

Cloud Networking:


  • Architect, implement, and manage network connectivity between onpremises infrastructure and cloud environments, specifically AWS and GCP.
  • Design and deploy secure, scalable, and highly available networking solutions on public cloud platforms.

Security and Compliance:


  • Ensure network security by implementing appropriate security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to network security and compliance, and incorporate them into network design.

Collaboration and Teamwork:


  • Collaborate with internal teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to gather requirements, identify network needs, and provide technical guidance.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their network infrastructure requirements and provide tailored solutions that meet their specific needs.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Network Architect, with a focus on designing ultralow latency infrastructure in the capital markets industry.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, architectures, and technologies, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, MPLS, BGP, multicast, and network virtualization.
  • Handson experience with designing and optimizing network infrastructure for ultralow latency requirements.
  • Expertise in cloud networking, specifically with AWS and GCP, including VPC, Direct Connect, VPN, and interregion connectivity.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with the cryptocurrencies space and its unique networking requirements is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
