Accounts Manager - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Headway

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our accounting records.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and team management. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial statements, and implementing financial controls and procedures.


Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger functionsPrepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts on a regular basisEnsure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulationsDevelop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain the integrity of financial dataManage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial projectionsMonitor cash flow and manage banking relationshipsCoordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and tax filingsSupervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support as neededStay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, and implement best practices as appropriate


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial capacityStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standardsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
