    Description
    • Maintain and help control dailyHSE practices through regular checks of work sites, ensure thathazards are identified, precautionary measures are implemented andrelevant HSE advice provided
    • Ensure thatproject Health, Safety and Environmental programs and proceduresare communicated to and regularly reinforced with sitepersonnel
    • Promote safe working systems andprocedures and monitor the proper application of the"Permit to Work" system, SIMOPS and associatedJob Safety Analysis, as well as another approvedproject
    • HSE and contractor related policies,plans, procedures and guidelines
    • Review andprovide comments regarding contractor developed HSE plans andprocedures
    • Coordinate and participate in theprovision of HSE awareness in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 specifications Prepare programs and arrange participationtraining sessions in conjunction with linemanagement
    • Participate as member ofconstruction site emergency response team, and provide first lineadvice to the designated Incident Controller and / or On SceneCommander concerning containment ofemergency
    • Ensure that any project incidents areimmediately reported to management and project HSES inparallel
    • Investigate all site HSE relatedincidents, including near misses, to an appropriate level. Analyseimmediate and root causes, determine future action to reduce theseoccurrences
    • Promote, support and participate inHSE Observation Card (HSEOC) program
    • Prepareand maintain statistical records of project site HSE performance(eg, work-hours, leading and lagging indicators, etc) andcommunicate regularly with project HSE Advisor and the Abu Dhabibased project HSE Engineers and the project SafetyAnalyst
    • Conduct frequent audits and inspectionsto ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs on criticaloperations/equipment and procedures at assigned location; presentrecommendations for improvement and follow-up theirimplementation

    Qualifications

    • BSc. in relevant engineeringdiscipline or equivalent.
    • 15-20 years'experience with 12 years minimum experience in oil / gas productionand processing, petrochemicals and other hydrocarbon relatedprojects.
    • For site-based positions previousconstruction experience in live plants is a must, and Gulfexperience preferable.
    • All personnel must befluent in English, both spoken andwritten.
