The SeniorCategory manager is responsible for delivering engaging compellingand world class retail product ranges across our leisure portfolio.

    Job Scope

    • OTB and Budget management ensuring productdevelopment lands and orders are placed in line with companyobjectives.
    • Accountable for setting anddelivering the category strategy.
    • Responsiblefor end to end product development and execution of the retailproposition.
    • Managing stock levels andcalculating buy quantities to be in line with expectations and theagreed open to buy budgets.
    • To create andanalyze reports on sales budgets and customer satisfaction. Usebusiness insight to adjust the buying strategy as appropriate.Ensure pricing strategies are implemented.
    • Support in the creation of and adherence to the buyingcritical path.
    • A proactive approach tomanagement of promotions and markdowns to support terminal linesand aged inventory.
    • Attend trade shows eventsfairs and exhibitions in order to remain up to date with markettrends.
    • Collaboration with other sharedservice functions to evaluate supplier options prices quality etc.
    • Maintain trust relationships with suppliersto promote fair dealing. U nderstand the supplier relationship inthe organization and the correct manner of addressing our suppliers. To assist suppliers with daytoday queries including samplestimely delivery of goods stock ready dates and expected deliverydates into the business.
    • Adherence to and anunderstanding of UAE regulations through a robust test audit andcompliance process.
    • Work in collaborationwith relevant IP holders and partners.
    • Actively demonstrate a strong personal commitment to thebusiness vision. To shows an entrepreneurial mindset that helps theorganization evolve innovate and remain as leading edge andeffective as possible.
    • To conduct colleagueperformance appraisals in a timely fair and constructive manner inorder to promote their personal and career growth.
    • To Perform other reasonable duties as requested by seniormanagement.

    To beconsidered for this role you will need to have:

    Essential:

    • Higher secondary orequivalent
    • Minimum of 8 years buyingexperience.
    • Experience in sourcing developingand delivering product that not only meets the companysrequirements but also maintains brand standards to the IP owner
    • Comprehensive understanding of the productbuying cycle and stages/processes within it.
    • Possess a fundamental understanding of retail theoriesand standards product design and packaging product sourcing anddelivery contract negotiation product inventory control productdisplay and product pricing and sales.
    • Proficiency in writing speaking and understanding theEnglish language.
    • Ability to monitor andidentify problems proactively. Understanding of how best to utilizeall resources available to quickly and effectively solve problemsas they occur and with a strong sense of urgency.
    • Stays current on new retail trends technologies andprocesses emerging in the industry and proactively works to developnew products and services that will improve profits throughincreased operational efficiency and/or improved guest satisfaction

    Desirable:

    • Bachelors Degree.
    • Retail and Buying experience within theleisure. theme park sector.
