    Vector Corrosion Middle East Division (VCME) is looking for an Engineer Level I who is looking to accelerate their career growth by taking on more responsibility in an expanding and rewarding field.

    This position will be based in Dubai, UAE and support our mission of extending the service life of existing and new structures.

    Utilizing the most modern tools and techniques, our engineers and technicians perform on-site evaluations and develop a sound understanding of the cause and extent of deterioration.

    Once we define the durability challenges facing structures, our experience allows us to implement practical, cost-effective repair and rehabilitation solutions, even in the most severe environments.

    This will be an open-ended contract with the possibility of the role going full time.


    Responsibilities:
    Condition assessments/investigationsSupport in the design of cathodic protection systems including calculations and drawings.

    Cathodic protection quality control testingNon-destructive testingInstall and troubleshoot instrumentation, prepare test reports, conduct research activities, and generally support other Engineers and Project Managers as required.

    Work with a team of technicians in the field to conduct testing and data collection.
    Implement non-destructive testing techniques such as ground penetrating radar, impact echo, corrosion potential and many others.
    Collect field measurements and accurately prepare field notes and other documentation.
    Develop a professional report regarding work performed and conclusions that meet VCS quality standards and Client's expectations.


    Requirements:
    Travel is an important aspect of VCS work. Travel is to be expected between 60%-80% of the time within the UAE and Middle East. Candidates should ideally hold a passport that enables flexibility of travel throughout the region.
    Certifications and experience in cathodic protection (minimum NACE CP 2, ICORR Level 2) would be highly desirable.
    Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Materials or Chemical Engineering.
    Ability to review and interpret drawings in English.
    Ability to write technical reports in English
