    Overview

    We are seeking a Director-level leader to join the Group Strategy function within a prominent entity within the Abu Dhabi government ecosystem, reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.

    This is a very senior, group-level role with responsibility across a diverse portfolio of entities and assets.

    The mandate is to ensure strategy translates into execution - driving post-investment outcomes, strengthening performance, and unlocking commercial and operational value across the group.

    The role requires a leader who can sit confidently at senior table level, work across multiple entities, and drive execution in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

    Responsibilities
    Operate at group level, working across all entities within the portfolio to drive strategic execution and performance
    Lead post-acquisition and post-investment activity, ensuring assets deliver on strategic and commercial objectives
    Develop and drive group-wide roadmaps focused on growth, performance, and long-term sustainability
    Deeply understand each asset's business model, operations, and value drivers
    Identify and execute opportunities to unify, automate, centralise, integrate and optimise activities across entities to unlock measurable commercial and operational value
    Drive value creation initiatives across the portfolio, moving beyond strategy into execution
    Partner with investment, leadership, and functional teams to ensure alignment between investments, strategy, and delivery
    Enable and structure partnerships (internal and external) to accelerate execution and performance outcomes
    Lead and influence senior stakeholders across different entities, cultures, and leadership styles
    Champion innovation, continuous improvement, and transformation initiatives across the group
    Act as a firm but flexible leader — setting clear expectations, acceptable and unacceptable standards, and driving accountability across the organisation
    Experience Required
    The successful candidate will bring substantial senior-level experience across the following areas:
    M&A, including exposure to post acquisition transactions
    Investments and portfolio-based organisations
    Post-acquisition integration and performance optimisation
    Value creation across complex or multi-entity environments
    Driving growth through strategic and operational initiatives
    Group-level strategy development and, critically, strategy execution
    Delivering innovation that translates into tangible business outcomes
    Embedding continuous improvement disciplines
    Structuring and managing partnerships to support strategic objectives
    Profile
    UAE National (required)
    Director-level experience within complex, multi-entity, group, holding or government-related environments
    Strong commercial acumen with the ability to bridge strategy, execution, and performance
    Proven ability to influence at senior leadership and board level
    Comfortable operating across diverse stakeholders, nationalities, and organisational cultures

    This role leads strategic execution across a multi-asset portfolio, with a strong focus on post-investment performance, enterprise-wide change, and group-level alignment following M&A and growth initiatives.
