    Global Payroll Project Manager - Let's Make Compliance Easier for Everyone

    We are the team that solves remote organizations' biggest challenge: employing anyone anywhere compliantly. We make it possible for businesses big and small to employ a global team by handling global payroll, benefits, taxes, and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as a Senior Payroll Project Manager expert to drive PMO function.
    • Work with existing verticals, domains and teams to further improve cross-functional execution and deliveries.
    • Lean into efficiency, automation and integration from the start of a project.
    • Lean into Remote's values when making strategic decisions.
    • Coordinate with remote internal teams to facilitate testing and integration of recommendations.
    • Build and maintain the future of payroll with Remote product, engineering and operations teams.
    • Provide support and training on Project Management to the Payroll Team.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Maintain frequent communication with stakeholders.
    • Work closely with remote teams, including Product, Engineering, Tax and Accounting to develop Payroll solutions through proprietary software.
    • Identify solutions to challenges, inconsistencies, and obstacles by collaborating with necessary stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Extensive experience within a senior payroll role.
    • Deep understanding of Payroll Operations, Benefits, Services and Process Improvements.
    • Extensive experience of implementing and maintaining global governance of payroll controls.
    • Demonstrated capability in handling complex, compliance-heavy tasks, leveraging analytical skills for effective problem-solving.
    • Experience in making recommendations for process improvements and ensuring that they are implemented.
    • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and drive results in a team-oriented environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that ensures the individual can engage effectively with Senior stakeholders.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in data manipulation (e.g., SQL, Excel, Sheets).
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
    • You understand the need and ideal to work largely asynchronously.
    • It's not required to have experience working remotely, but it is considered a plus.
    • You write and speak fluent English.
    • You write and speak fluent local language of the Country of your expertise.
