    Associate Director Markets Strategy and Risk Associate Director Markets Strategy and RiskThis role demands a strategic thinker who can effectively navigate diverse stakeholder landscapes, drive implementation, and ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution.


    • Contribute significantly to the formulation, development, and effective communication of the organization's strategic direction to the Executive Committee (ExCo) and staff at all organizational levels.
    • Regularly monitor the internal and external environment, encompassing internal resources, industry dynamics, regulatory developments, and emerging financial trends.
    • Evaluate and analyze these factors to inform and adapt the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the company's mission and objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for improvements that align with the organizational mission and consult with the Risk department to understand developments that may pose risks to regulatory objectives.
    • Utilize relevant data, benchmarking, and information to inform the strategy formulation process.
    • Lead the annual strategic and business planning process, ensuring high-quality inputs for discussions like the Board Strategy Day.
    • Effectively cascade strategic and business plans within the department and broader company, ensuring staff comprehend the implications of strategic decisions on their daily functions.
    • Develop a comprehensive framework to measure and evaluate the long-term success of strategies.
    • Oversee and assess progress on business plans and projects in collaboration with the Associate Director of Projects & Planning.
    • Work with the Managing Director of Policy and Legal to align the Policy Agenda with the strategy and ensure mutual support.
    • Consult with the Associate Director of Risk to guarantee that strategic plans adhere to the Board's risk tolerance

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • Master's in business administration, Economics, Regulation, or related field preferred.
    • 10-15 years of corporate strategy or management consulting experience, preferably in government, national or international organizations, with substantial exposure to financial services
