Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Civil Drawing Draftsman & Estimator to prepare accurate technical drawings and cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and civil works. The ideal candidate will support project planning, execution, and cost control by producing high-quality CAD drawings and precise quantity take-offs.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting & Design
- Prepare detailed MEP and civil drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting software.
- Develop layout drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, local codes, and standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve design issues.
Estimation & Quantity Surveying
- Perform quantity take-offs for MEP and civil works.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and cost estimates.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Request and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Assist in preparing tender submissions and project budgets.
- Track project costs and variations.
Project Coordination
- Attend project meetings when required.
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation control.
- Support procurement and project execution teams.
- Assist in site inspections and verification of installed works.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (or as required).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); Revit or other BIM software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and civil construction practices.
- Experience in quantity take-off and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with local building codes and standards.

- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills
- Good understanding of construction materials and methods
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work under deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, etc.)
- Knowledge of BIM coordination
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects
