    Responsibilities and essential job functionsinclude but are not limited to the following:

    • To maintain a high standard of specified work inaccordance with the Head Chefs instructions
    • Toprepare cook and serve food delegated as your responsibilityensuring that the highest possible quality is maintained and thatagreed standards for food preparation and presentation are met atall times under guidance from the Head Chef
    • Tomonitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on yoursection
    • To aid in achieving food cost kitchenstandard and overall objectives
    • To carry outdaily and weekly procedures including temperature checks foodlabeling/dating and storage
    • To remove anyhazards and make safe any defects in the kitchen or its equipmentand report any problems to the head chef
    • Tokeep high standards of personal hygiene clean uniform and overallcamaraderie
    • To adhere to company procedures inregards to temperature checks food labeling and dating cleaningschedules and hygiene regulations at all times ensuring that allrecords of such are maintained
    • To assist withthe acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevantcompany procedures are adhered to
    • To bepunctual for work and report directly to the manager on duty onarrival in the kitchen
    • To have anunderstanding of menu planning the implementation of stock controlsthe importance of good stock management and how this enables thekitchen to meet gross profit
    • To be familiarwith the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carrythem out as rotated
    • To keep high standards ofcleanliness on section where employed also to assist in any jobregarding hygiene or cleanliness asked for by a seniorchef
    • To be fully aware of all hygiene controland chemicals used in the work place
    • To havefull knowledge of and be able to act upon fireprocedures
    • To be responsible whilst liaisingwith the Executive Head Chef for self development
    • To carry out and assist in the smooth running of thekitchen
    • To attend all meeting and trainingsessions as required
    • To comply with anyreasonable request from your superiors
    • Toassist on other sections or help with other duties when the kitchenis short staffed in emergencies and/or when number of coversrequire.
