- Assist guests with heavy packages,coats, suitcase, etc. courteously and quickly, before having to beasked
- Adhere to guest check-in and check-outprocedures pertaining to baggagehandling
- Welcome guests at the main entrancewith the greeting appropriate to the time ofday
- Assist arriving and departing guests byopening and closing car and taxi doors
- Maintaina clean and tidy entrance, drive-way andlobby
- Guide the guest to the Front Desk andwait behind the guest during the check-in
- Befamiliar with hotel layout and memorize the preferred route forescorting guests
- Room the guest in accordancewith hotel standards
- Be familiar with the liftworkings and emergency stairs
- Provideinformation to guests about the hotel facilities andservices
- Learn and utilize names of guests,especially repeat and long staying guests and routinely greetguests as they pass through the lobby
- Helpother employees in department, replacing them temporarily whennecessary
- Keep the baggage room clean and inorder
- Upon arrival of newspapers, prepare themand deliver them to guest rooms as assigned by Front Officestaff
- Use the Duty Log to document matters ofimportance
