Description

• Develop and write functionalrequirements of optical systemsdevelopment
• Develop optical conceptual designand support optical fabricationrequirements
• Manage and lead junior engineersand technicians in conducting experiments in optical laboratory,assess and guide processes.
• Lead Integrationand testing of optical components subsystem and integratingsolution in collaboration with department engineers, technician andtechnologist.
• Support the development ofoptical subsystems that encompass industrial/mechanicaldesign
• Use knowledge of C/C++, ZEMAX, python,and other software tools to add new design and analysiscapabilities to the Electro OpticsDepartment
• Create detailed task plans fordesign and qualification of optical systems and driveimplementation on a set and timeline
• SupportElectro optical systems analysis and modelling utilizing programingand software tools
• Develop models andsimulations of key optical subsystems, laboratory optical setupsand development project concepts
• Develop anddesign analytical algorithm utilizing knowledge and skill pf signalprocessing an calibration and imaging pixelsystems.
• Develop algorithm forElectro-Optical/camera system qualification and testinglaboratory.
• Perform engineering research anddevelopment of Electro Optics for industrial projects and trainengineers in relevant standard engineering jobfunctions
• Take input form functionalrequirements and derive corresponding specifications for imagingand illumination systems
• Design and analyseoptical systems using sequential and non-sequential opticalsoftware (ZEMAX, other) and supportingscripts
• Communicate effectively with peers toderive requirements as well as suppliers to convey opticalrequirements and manufacturing concerns
• Designrelevant optical lab tests, including test definition, equipment,and data analysis.
• Support optical DesignProjects, including design, Purchasing, scheduling, fabrication,Assembly, Testing and delivery
• Support Costanalysis and BOM for optical components and opticaldesigns
• Works Independently and with Team tomanage, develop and establish optical designs for projects internaland external.
• Research and work with advancedconcepts for development projects in context of Electro Opticssystems and subsystems
  

Experience &Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor'sdegree in optical or Electrical engineering, or a relevantengineering or science degree
• On the jobexperience of more than 2 years with Optical and Electro-OpticalSystems and laboratory, Laser systems, Laserresearch
