Overview of Role
The position will be part of the Operations team.
She or he will work closely with Cargo Operations to provide day-to-day operational support for ocean transportation of crude oil and refined products.
Main Responsibilities
- Work closely with Chartering department during fixture of vessel with regard to max cargo loadable, load/discharge multi cargo grade, verify with Terminal requirement & restriction
- Prepare & ensure vessel is ready in all aspects to perform the next voyage
- For STS operation vessel to be cleared with both Owners engage in STS
- Liaise closely with Cargo Operator to send Voyage Orders and monitor progress of vessels;
- Check port limitations, vessel loadable and plan stowage
- Ensure that all Operational Information is entered into Operational Systems (IMOS) in timely fashion and that adequate records are kept in G Docs to meet the company's legal and fiscal obligations
- Ensure the vessel's quick turnaround in port by liaising closely with Terminal/Owner
- Arrange Bunker, verify Cargo Tank and prepare to load the next Cargo TC vessels
- Monitor TC Vessels performance and ensure that vessel performance per the charter party clause
- Cost control via efficient port turnaround of vessel, maximum utilization of cargo spaces
- Appoint agents through DA Desk and monitor weather routing during vessel sea passage
- Ensure that necessary funding done prior vessel arrival to port
- Provide discharging instructions to vessel/master for voyage charter
- Ensure optimal operational performance by providing loading
- Ensure that the financially in order prior issue LOI to instructing the vessel to release cargo if original BL is not presented
- Obtain load/discharge document from agent and Master and uploaded in the system
- Check and Approve Port PDA / FDA settlement
- IMOS information to be updated upon voyage accomplished
- Liaise and verify with owners regarding oil major approval
Profile
The individual should have the following experience:
- Diploma in Maritime or relevant qualification, with minimum 7 years of work experience in Shipping Operations
- Selfmotivated, a team player and able to work with minimum supervision
- Sound commercial awareness
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Competencies and results driven
Job Types:

Salary:
AED7, AED12,000.00 per month
