A group of companies with diverse interests recently launched a hospitality business focusing on creating fast food brands. The headquarters in Dubai serves as the hub for the dynamic and expanding ventures across various sectors.


Job Overview:


As a Food Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the financial aspects of food operations.

Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and analyze food costs, inventory levels, pricing strategies, and procurement processes to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.

You will work closely with various departments such as kitchen, purchasing, and finance to implement cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and analyze food costs on a regular basis to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory records for all food items, including monitoring stock levels and conducting regular physical inventory counts.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to establish portion control standards and recipe costing to optimize food production processes.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to source highquality ingredients at competitive prices and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Implement costsaving initiatives such as waste reduction programs, menu engineering, and supplier negotiations to improve overall profitability.
  • Review menu pricing strategies and recommend adjustments to maximize revenue while ensuring competitive pricing in the market.
  • Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal control procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and financial analysis related to food costs, inventory levels, and purchasing activities for management review.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on cost control procedures, portion control, and inventory management best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements related to food cost control and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Indepth knowledge of food safety regulations, portion control standards, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and conducting audits.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and terms with suppliers.

Salary:
AED7, AED8,000.00 per month
