Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Execute the daytoday book keeping & operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and all general ledger and book entry activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decisionmaking processes on operational, growth and taxation matters.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Accounting Responsibilities:


General Ledger Management:


  • Book keeping & overseeing the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Draft, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

Accounts Payable/Receivable:

  • Manage and optimize the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Financial Reporting:


  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Provide insights and variance analysis to support decisionmaking.

Tax Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors for accurate and timely tax filings.

Finance Responsibilities:


Budgeting and Forecasting:


  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop realistic and strategic financial plans.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to support operational needs and financial obligations.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital.

Financial Analysis:


  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights to support strategic decisionmaking.

ERP System Expertise:

  • Strong experience as an Odoo Finance & Accounting user. This involves deep understanding of functionality and reporting of Odoo or similar ERP system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure optimal functionality. This includes coordination and communication with ERP system providor(s)

Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [68] years of experience in finance and accounting roles in a hands on delivery role.
  • Extensive experience with Odoo Finance as a priority, or similar ERP systems.
  • UAE Driving licence and ownership of a car in UAE
  • UAE Residency / Work visa preferred.
  • A team player with very strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Highly motivated individual with a proactive and handson approach to problemsolving.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of driving results.
  • Experience in Importation, Retail, & Distribution sector
  • Presentable with focus on hygiene and communication
