Role: CAD Designer /DesignEngineer

Salary: 35k per annum -negotiable

Location:Nelson

25 daysholiday + bank holidays +overtime

Ourclient is looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join thedrawing and projects department of a manufacturing company based inNelson. Due to continued growth they now require an experience CADperson to join their designteam.

Thesuccessful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years CAD experiencein industry and have a good level of using AutoCad orSolidworks/Inventor or ideally AGCad.

Duties:

Produceand update detailed drawings and diagrams in accordance with thelatest procedures and recognised industry codes andstandards.

Revisedrawings

Liaisewith, provide support to the production and management teamregardingdrawings

Produce2D & 3Ddrawings

Orderingparts and components from thesupplier

Managingthe design process from initial sketches through to designs,setting up BOM s, (Bill of Materials), sample building, testing andprototyping

Previousdesign experience within sheet metalindustries

Experience&Skills:

Essentialto be an experienced CAD Designer /Engineer.

Userof AG Cad would be a distinct advantage, though AutoCad,Solidworks, Inventor would also beadvantageous.

Previousexperience within an engineering, manufacturing or sheet metalcompany.

Degreequalified in Mechanical Engineering orsimilar.

Good workingknowledge of materials (metals) and their specifications, finishesand joining techniques (fasteners, welding,etc.).

Excellentcommunication skills with the ability to work on own initiative(unsupervised) to strictdeadlines.

MUSTbe able to drive / car owner due tolocation
