    We are looking for a motivated and experienced Planning Manager to Assist FITOUT Management with Project Controls & Pl

    Responsibilities

    Prepare Programmes

    • Set up project calendar
    • Set up Activities and Coding with construction managers
    • Set up resource requirements using ALEC standard outputs
    • Sequence & link the required activities, within given milestones
    • Establish the critical path through the programme
    • Prepare information schedule in conjunction with construction manager
    • Prepare subcontract appointment schedule with construction manager

    Progress monitoring and updates

    • Regular progress recording on site of actual progress
    • Record & report actual progress against target programme
    • Preparation of required reports for construction managers
    • Interpret data and identify bottlenecks with construction manager
    • Predict completion dates and prepare 'Look-ahead' reports

    Monitor resources and Key Performance Index items (KPI's)

    • Create baseline resource curves
    • Record actual against planned on resource curves & KPI's
    • Create records of actual progress of KPI's
    • Liaise with construction managers regarding resource requirements

    Sub Contractor programmes

    • Examine and report on subcontract programmes
    • Ensure subcontract programmes are in line with site requirements
    • Monitor subcontract work against programmes
    • Report on subcontract progress to construction managers

    Working Programmes

    • Establish working programme requirements with construction managers
    • Prepare working programmes in consultation with site supervision
    • Monitor & report on working programmes
    • Revise working programmes where required by construction managers

    Delay analysis

    • Record delay items and link to relevant programme activities
    • Establish effect of delay items on programme
    • Suggest recovery methods in conjunction with construction managers

    RED FILE Author for the Planning Team

    • Liaise with Systems Development and Continuous Improvement Manager regarding RED FILE requirements for planning items
    • Provide input and update RED FILE planning items

    Training

    • Ensure Planning Team have the required training

    Recruitment and Planning Staff development

    • Ensure the Company has the correct mix of planners allocated to the various projects and tendering team
    • Ensure the planners have the necessary equipment and resources to perform their required duties effectively
    • Conduct regular Performance Reviews, and review goals and training requirements

    Overall Planning Management and Reporting

    • Ensure overall progress of projects is monitored and communicated to the relevant stakeholders / management, including any potential risk items.
    • Oversee and ensure planning requirements as per items 1 – 6 above are carried out effectively on the projects.

    Requirements

    • Engineering or Building Degree or equivalent
    • 10 years as Project Planning Manager in the FITOUT industry
