Description

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an ELV CAD Draughtsman, preferably in the Gulf region.
Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Indepth knowledge of ELV systems, including structured cabling, telecommunications, security, access control, CCTV, etc.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing ELV system design and installation (e.g., ANSI/TIA, IEEE, NFPA).
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and schematics.
Develop detailed ELV system drawings and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to integrate ELV systems into overall building designs.
Design and layout structured cabling, telecommunications, security, access control, CCTV, and other ELV systems.
Generate cable schedules, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts according to project specifications.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing ELV system design and installation.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate equipment and components for ELV systems.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather information for design purposes and identify potential challenges.
Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and quality assurance processes.
Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) and clarifications.
