    Summary of Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Job Title

    American HealthCare Staffing Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse will provide supplemental/contract services to our clients, and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN will work under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse at the facility assigned to and understands according the state working in the limitations and scope of care able to be given according to the specific education level American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN will try to compromise when scheduling with the client and with Angel creating a "win – win" American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN will work very closely with the supervising RN collaborating their efforts in order to deliver the nursing process American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN will observe, record, report, and assist in the nursing plan of care, the implementation of care, and the evaluation of the patient status and American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN also understands that by accepting an assignment, the nurse is aware of the potential exposure to internal and external hazardous materials including but not limited to: blood and blood borne pathogens, infectious/communicable diseases, noise, excessive physical injury from patients, airborne dusts, fumes, and

    Qualifications

    Education: Graduation from accredited College of Practical or Vocational Nursing, accompanied by current nursing license in each state of desired

    Experience: One year of full-time clinical practice in each specialty Certifications: Current BLS/CPR training with card, any other specialty certifications required for working in specific specialty areas (PALS, ACLS, NRP, )

    Duties/Responsibilities/Functions

    As an American HealthCare Staffing Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse, you will perform your job duties according to the State Nursing Practice Act while upholding the utmost ethical and safe techniques always keeping the care of the patient as your top You will work very closely with the entire team of healthcare professionals in the facility you are assigned to and must have a complete understanding of your limitations in turn seeking advice when These are just some of the duties that you will be expected to do, but are not limited to the following:

    ?Perform all nursing duties in accordance with the state Nursing Act specific to the state you are working in, while adhering to all facility policies and

    ?Provide direct patient care, and reports any changes in patient status to the supervising RN to insure patient comfort and

    ?Assist physicians and all healthcare professionals when caring for patient, always giving a complete and thorough report on patient status at end of shift/assignment to supervising

    ?Perform routine nursing care to assigned patients, while utilizing age specific and universal precaution practices at all

    ?Practices patient teaching/training for patients and families according to plan of

    ?Follow hospital policy when disposing of biohazardous materials, labeling and handling of all

    ?Actively demonstrates a working knowledge of nursing theory, techniques, principles, and practice in order to holistically care for the patient while reporting any changes to RN in patient's condition following up with proper

    ?Distribute prescribed medications to assigned patients orally, topically, subcutaneously, intradermal, and intramuscularly under the direct supervision of the

    ?American HealthCare Staffing LPN/LVN will be knowledgeable of all medications, reactions, and dosage

    ?Communicate with all staff, patients, and families with excellent written and verbal

    ?Consistently seek educational tools and in-services in order to broaden knowledge base of various age groups, diseases, and best

    ?Will frequently lift up to 100 or more pounds consistently causing a high volume of stooping, bending, lifting, pulling, and

    ?Will handle and be knowledgeable of all medical equipment utilized in the care of the

    ?Must be able to perform various sensory requirements such as; vision, speech, smell, touch, manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and hearing in order to assess and treat the patient

    ?Comply with all facility policy and procedure, while upholding the high expectations of American HealthCare

    ?Accountable and responsible for each specific patient assigned while under direct supervision of the supervising

    ?Is punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed
