Expediter - Dubai Office


Job Description:


Expedites purchased materials, supplies, equipment and parts from suppliers, and ensures that the correct materials arrive at the correct job site according to scheduled delivery.

Maintains regular communication with the supplier until completion of delivery. Preparing and distributing material status reports. Maintaining accurate records in ERP on purchase orders being expedited.


Supports the resolution of defects and delivery problems with suppliers and is responsible for communicating with procurement and supply chain.

Responsible for evaluating KBR Vendors performance using KBR's Supplier Performance Evaluation tool.


Utilizes reporting tools to track data such as various key performance indicators, forecasts, variances, and other pertinent metrics to evaluate supplier performance.


Maintains accurate and complete files in accordance with KBR Policies, and applicable FAR/DFARS and other Agency FAR Supplements to ensure KBR maintains its Government approved purchasing system.

Coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse management, and engineering to ensure proper scheduling and movement of goods and supplies.

Collaborates with internal and external customers to ensure mission, contractual requirements, schedule, contingency planning, and timely delivery/execution are achieved.


Actively participates in meetings and works effectively with all functional areas as required to achieve client and business objectives and mitigate risks relating to delays of goods.

Participates in the execution of expediting processes and training.


Relies upon experience, interpersonal skills, and develops working knowledge of the procurement field to ensure that task completion is compliant with policies, procedures, contractual requirements, and business strategy.


Possesses verbal and written communication skills so as to convey ideas succinctly and persuasively to a variety of stakeholders supported by complex analytics/comparisons using various data sources and analytics tools.

Uses judgment to interpret and resolve internal and external issues and develops best practices.

Develops understanding of the end-to-end Supply Chain Process and how all disciplines within Procurement & Supply Chain operate.


Progressing ability to get to the root cause of problems quickly and find ways to resolve them either individually, within a team, and/or across disciplines.

Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and demanding work environment.


Conforms fully to the KBR's Code of Business Conduct (COBC), Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and Export Compliance along with other legal or procedural compliance requirements for area of work.


Develops knowledge and experience supporting Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSR) and Property Management System Audit (PMSA), and requirements to maintain approved Business Systems.

Assists with all actions related to internal and external audit request, responses, reporting and submissions.

Under direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field.


Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Working knowledge with standard Microsoft Office 365 products, virtual collaboration platforms, and ERP and other system of records (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
