PositionSummary:

Ouresteemed client is a leading Engineering and Construction firmbased in Abu Dhabi specializing in providing tailored EngineeringProcurement and Construction (EPC) solutions for the Oil &Gas and Energy Sectors. We are lookingfor an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations to ensurethe successful execution of projects and deliver highqualityengineeringsolutions.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Manageinhouse and outsourcing engineering multidisciplinary engineeringmanagement.
  
• Maintainstrong relationships with key clientpositions.
  
• OverseeEngineering work by contract engineering and designteams.
  
• Leadmanage and provide daytoday direction to a team ofengineers.
  
• Equipthe contract engineering team with highcaliberengineers.
  
• Managecontract engineering and design resource requirements in line withcontractneeds.
  
• Promoteeffective communication within the Engineering team to foster safecosteffective fitforpurposedesigns.
  
• Providetechnical leadership and decisionmaking for engineeringwork.
  
• Participatein and lead project safety and designreviews.
  
• Providetechnical assistance direction and support during construction andinstallationactivities.
  
• Ensurecompetency assessments for engineering and design teammembers.
  
• Leadtechnical investigations identify root causes and capture lessonslearned.
  
• Liaiseand report Engineering Progress andIssues.
  
• Troubleshootdesign identify and resolve issues with engineering and fabricatorthrough Site/TechnicalQueries.
  
• Attendingengineering progress meetings and generate statusreports.
  
• Managethe provision of input to technicalproposals.
  
• Assistconstruction personnel with general technical queries anddetails.
  
• Completework with quality and deliver according toschedule.
  
• Enhanceprocesses and procedures in the current engineering function andcreate new processes and procedures for large value EPCprojects.
  
• Leada team of multiple discipline design engineers and draughtsman inthe proper execution of engineeringrelated activities for variousprojects.
  
• Beinvolved in detailed design calculations preparation of engineeringdata sheets & specifications shop fabrication drawings andtroubleshooting designproblems.
  
• Engagein preaward activities such as preliminary design preparation oftender drawings material takeoffs cost estimation collaboratingwith commercial/procurement material sourcing and vendordevelopment.
  
• Frontendwith clients and handle queries and clarifications for variousengineeringdisciplines.
  
• Workclosely with the project management team to ensure proper executionof the job within the specifiedscope.
  
• Managedesign issues with subcontractors and ensure compliance with clientdesign.
  

Key QualificationsandSkills:

• Either10 years of experience as a Senior Engineer or 5 years experienceas an Engineering Manager in a large O&G EPC company or onO&G EPCProjects.
  
• Bachelorsdegree in a relevant engineering discipline with a preference forMechanical Engineering as an educationalbackground.
  
• Mustbe capable of leading multiple disciplines and effectivelyinterface with all disciplines inhouse and with those of theclient.
  
• Musthave excellent design related skills in terms of interpretingdesigns and to help the design team produce working or productiondrawingseffectively.
  
• Experienceworking with multinational and multicultural projectteams.
  
• Thoroughknowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of engineeringdesign and projectdelivery.
  
• Thoroughknowledge of international codes andstandards.
  
• Experiencemanaging engineeringteams.
