    Job Description


    Responsibilities andObligations:

    • Achieves anddevelops rapport with the local companies airlines and DestinationManagement Companies through personal association.
    • Conducts site inspections when needed.
    • Determines with the Director of Sales/ AssistantDirector of Sales the pricing strategies regarding his/her specificsegment.
    • Observes keenly the market to findout where the clients are booking and if there are new project inthe city and the companies involved in these projects.
    • Builds rapport with key accounts.
    • Completes assigned sales calls on a daily basis.
    • Conducts regular competitors surveys.
    • Joins sales blitz if assigned.
    • Develops a practice of weekly sales call plan in order to helpbetter planning in terms of time management and salesobjectives.
    • Organizes business entertainmentto clients (luncheons dinners cocktails) in order to buildrelationships with them and introduces them to the hotel managementteam General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing wheneverpossible.
    • Tracks and shares informationregarding new business trends.
    • Understandsfactors that affect the market; informs management accordingly andassists in establishing solutions.
    • Keepstrack of the competitors activities special promotions and ratepackages.
    • Ensures the Accor Sops are in placeand adhered to.
    • Monitors monthly results andperformance of assigned accounts. Explains ups and downs of theirbusiness volume.
    • Communicates effectively toensure that the sales function is carried out smoothly andcommitments are met.
    • Builds up good rapportwith the other hotel departments.
    • Makes atleast 15 sales calls weekly on his/her accounts.

    Administrational

    • Carries out administrative duties.
    • Maintains the companies mailinglist to ensure that all contacts are entered andupdated.
    • Submits sales activities reports ona weekly basis outlining:
    • Total number of call with details
    • Past month activities
    • Room production againstbudget and goals
    • Major current and upcomingbusiness leads
    • Entertainmentreport
    • Top twenty accountsproduction
    • Competitors majorevents
    • Upcoming projects
    • Utilize Opera for reports and updates.

    Operational

    • Demonstrates effective sales communicationskills and personal performance
    • Solicits newaccounts maintains and /or increases business of exitingaccounts
    • Demonstrates selfconfidence energyand enthusiasm
    • Presents ideas expectationsand information in a concise well organized manner
    • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making andfollowup
    • Understands and achieves team andindividual goals
    • Possesses strong salesskills
    • Aware of the operation of alldepartments within the hotel

    Financial

    • Achieves sales objectives and goals as set by themanagement
    • Keeps afinger on the posed regarding pricing in the market place; rooms aswell as Food and Beverage
    • Checks marketinformation and performance of the competitive hotelrevenues.
    Qualifications
    • UAE workexperience as Sales Manager Groups & MICE.
    • Strong negotiating skills and creative selling abilitiesto close and finalize contracts
    • Goodknowledge in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook Opera.
