A global IT consulting firm is hiring aLead Application Architect to be based in Abu Dhabi.
This is a six-month contract role which can be extended.


Knowledge & Experience:

Strong understanding of Business, Information & Integration model and architecture for the corresponding technology domainGood understanding of Cloud concepts both Azure & AWS.2-5 years experience doing practical design or architecture within the specialization (solutions, infrastructure, network, security, etc.)Practical experience and deep understanding of technology in the area of specialization, software stack, patterns and best practicesCan create a high-level and low-level design (functional and non-functional) of a single or a small collection of components or a small end-to-end serviceIn-depth & hands on experience on Application Architecture Techniques & best practices for both Built & Buy scenariosFair understanding of Infra & Security Architecture practices including cyber security & cloudGood understanding on Regulatory frameworks & standards for BFSIProviding technical and data leadership to the Service organization, Service and Solution Architects and engineering teamsComprehensive understanding of contemporary database and analytics platforms including but not limited to Hadoop, AWS, Azure and Mongo.

Knowledge on emerging technology themes like AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain & RPA would be a definite advantageRFI / RFP, pre-sales proposals, technical and commercial bid presentations, negotiating and successfully closing the sales cycle.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsGood communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and willing to go the extra miles to meet the project timelines/goalsWell organized with attention to detailStrong team playerRequirements13+ Years of experience as an architect in the corresponding Business & Technology DomainOverall 15+ Years of experience in Information TechnologyExperience of having been a part of at least one cloud adoption & transition journey is an added advantageCertification in Cloud, Devops & Architecture framework would be an added advantageCo Create & shape strategy with Technology & Business HeadsRequirement Finalization in terms of design and integration interfacesGap Analysis between the service requirements and the existing capabilities in the landscapePreparation of candidate solutions adopting best practices like TOGAF, SOA, IFW, IASACloud Certifications, PreferredProactively address issues discovered in the software components, infrastructure and scripts in the various environmentsDefines and communicates a shared technical and architectural vision (including infra)Consult with the Enterprise Architecture practice to ensure that the service is aligned with architectural patternsProvide robust service design as aligned with the design and service requirementsWalkthrough of design solution to build team and business teamProvide service requirement clarity to Technical Teams and Testing Teams to avoid gaps in deliveryProper analysis and environment provisioning based on the requirements and future analysisReview Strategic Demands including Strategic architecture, Roadmaps, Transition, Migration Strategy, Capability Gaps for the respective domainsPeriodically assessing the landscape to ensure strategic alignment, technical debt identification and prioritization.

Identify opportunities for Cloud adoption & reduce Technology DebtReview & shape up solution architecture critical decisions with Service LinesDevelop relevant reusable Architecture Patterns, accelerators, Principles and Standards along with Solution Architects & Engineers to enable speedy delivery and efficient operations of service linesReview root cause of critical incidents (P1) and identify opportunities for strategic solutions and solving Technical DebtIdentify new technology trends for the corresponding chapters through Industry research and Competition Analysis (within & outside region)Develop relevant position papers & newsletters within the communityEnsure continuous compliance by reviewing architecture exceptions, engineering & operations considerations.

Enable service teams to Identify & resolve new architectural risks.

Identifying opportunities for enhancing skillsets for self & the architecture community on emerging and relevant technology by on-the-job and off-the-job trainingRecognize potential impact on existing policies and standards and update accordingly, develop new policies and standards for future business expansionData architecture for various business & Technology InitiativesSet objective and key results along with strategy teams and service ownersReview solution architecture decisions alignment to OKRsEnsure 100% compliance to standards / principles set by Bank / Enterprise Architect in solution designMaintain high degree of Relationship and Professional rapport with stakeholders across IT and Business.
