Looking ICU Nurse for Hospitals across United States.

Summary of Position:

Intensive care unit is for hospital patients with serious health problems who need intensive medical care and monitoring.

Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, vital sign monitoring, ventilator management, medication administration, intravenous insertion and infusion, central line care, Swan-Ganz catheters, and maintenance of a running record of the patient's status.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing medical attention to patients in the intensive care unit of hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Delivering regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members
• Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
• Begin treatment and monitor doses.
• Respond to a medical emergency and alert the appropriate Doctors as needed.
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit.
• Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient.
• Maintain patient records.
• Create and implement effective care plans.

Critical-thinking skills._ Registered nurses must assess changes in the health status of patients, such as determining when to take corrective action.

Communication skills._ Registered nurses must be able to communicate effectively with patients in order to understand their concerns and evaluate their health conditions. Nurses need to clearly explain instructions, such as how to take medication. They must work in teams with other health professionals and communicate patients' needs.

Detail oriented._ Registered nurses must be precise because they must ensure that patients get the correct treatments and medicines at the right time.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduate of 3.5 to 4 years BS Nursing program
• Valid Nursing License
• Minimum one (2) years' experience post qualification
