The National is seeking an experienced Social Media Editor who has expert editorial judgement, an impeccable eye for detail and the ability to lead the daily workload of an international team of social media journalists.

We are looking for a creative, hardworking individual with a love for all things social media.

They must have initiative and resilience for breaking news and global current affairs, the creative flair for making new formats work and be a source of support and inspiration for the team.

Reporting to the Head of Audience, you will also be required to support and implement strategies for audience growth, be across the fast-evolving social media industry and represent the Head of Audience when needed.

The ideal candidate will be very organised, very hands-on and thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Experience in analytics and interpreting audience data are a must.
