    Position Overview

    As a Release Manager you will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of software releases. You'll possess a strong technical background in modern software practices, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration between our engineering, data science, and product teams.

    A significant focus of this role; you will be the voice of our product updates, translating complex backend engineering milestones into high‑quality, benefit‑driven content for our external stakeholders and clients.

    What You'll Do

    Release Orchestration: Collaborate with software development (Python/TypeScript), QA, and DevOps teams to plan, schedule, and manage software releases across our microservices architecture.

    Technical Writing & Content Creation: Produce high‑quality, external‑facing release notes and technical articles that outline what has changed in each release and clearly articulate the value and benefits to the end user.

    Technical Coordination: Coordinate release activities including version control (Git), feature branching, code merges, and deployment of containerized applications via Docker.

    Communication: Communicate release plans, progress, and status to stakeholders, ensuring observability and traceability through proper logging and monitoring.

    Risk Management: Manage and mitigate risks related to the release process, identifying bottlenecks in the CI/CD pipeline and implementing strategies to address them.

    Documentation: Ensure all necessary technical documentation and communication materials are prepared and delivered alongside each release cycle.

    Post‑Release Oversight: Monitor release success, gather feedback, and oversee post‑release activities such as issue tracking and bug fixes. Train users on new functionalities.

    Innovation: Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends in infrastructure and DevOps to recommend innovative release management practices.

    Required Experience
    • SaaS Release Management: Significant prior experience as a Release Manager or in a similar role, specifically with a track record of successful software releases for a SaaS Product.
    • SDLC Mastery: Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
    • Exceptional Writing: Proven ability to produce professional, external‑facing technical content and documentation for a non‑technical audience.
    • Tech Stack Proficiency: Proficient with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and release automation. Familiarity with environments is essential.
    • Cloud & Containers: Experience with Docker and automated deployment pipelines.
    • Soft Skills: Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
    Nice to Have
    • Cloud Expertise: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes.
    • Domain Knowledge: Experience working in regulated industries (Healthcare, Insurance, or Finance).
    • Modern Tools: Experience with workflow engines (Airflow, Dagster) or real‑time data streaming (Kafka, Redis).
    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
