- Analyze local market trends andcompetitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel aleader in the marketplace through the development of future andrepeat business
- Develop and maintain customeraccounts to drive business into the hotel and to increasemarket/customer share in all revenuestreams
- Negotiate room rates and packages withcorporate clients
- Promptly respond to customerqueries in a professional manner, maintaining high level standardsof service and client relationships.
- To develophigh yield accounts according to the salessegmentation.
- To achieve sales target set byhotel.
- Conduct sales calls to existing andprospective accounts as per areas assigned byDOS.
- Maintenance of all sales activities andaccount information in the SalesDatabase.
- Maintain high profile within thetravel industry and foster relationships with accounts in theMarket.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly reportsas requested Director of Sales.
- Participationin selected trade shows.
- Ensure companies ofwhich you are responsible are being tracked in accordance withtheir room night targets on a monthly basis and report as per theguidelines set out by the DOS.
- Attend weeklysales meetings with the DOS.
- Conduct siteinspections and host familiarization visits whenrequired.
- Attend monthly review meetings withDOS to discuss results versus goals in the annual sales call planand company sales strategy.
