Key Responsibilities

• Site Surveying
• Measure existing stormwater infrastructure.
• Verify levels, slopes, and alignments of pipes.
• Check manhole and catch basin locations.
• Data Collection
• Record dimensions, pipe diameters, material type, and invert levels.
• Use GPS, total stations, and laser scanners for accurate measurements.
• Design & Planning Support
• Provide survey data for designing new stormwater systems.
• Ensure compliance with local municipal drainage standards.
• Inspection & Maintenance Support
• Locate blockages or damaged sections.
• Provide accurate maps for repair or replacement projects.
• Reporting
• Create detailed drawings, maps, and reports.
• Document discrepancies for project managers or clients.

Tools & Equipment

• GPS & Total Stations – for precise location and elevation.
• Leveling Instruments – automatic levels, dumpy levels.
• Laser Scanners / 3D Modeling Tools – for detailed as-built surveys.
• Drones – sometimes used for large or inaccessible areas.
• Survey Software – AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, etc.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of civil engineering and drainage systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Accuracy in measurement and recording.
• Proficiency with surveying instruments and software.
• Understanding local regulations and codes for stormwater management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
