Overview:

The DevOps Manager oversees DevOps teams, ensuring they plan, execute, and uphold the company's software development and infrastructure processes and strategies, while ensuring accountability for deliverables and outcomes in line with organizational goals.


The DevOps Manager is a strategic thinker who collaborates with multiple departments to ensure seamless and efficient integration of DevOps practices.

The DevOps Manager actively seeks improvements in processes, workflows, and technologies, staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the team remains innovative and efficient.

Responsibilities:


  • Building, managing, and nurturing the DevOps team while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Crafting and executing a clear DevOps strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and promotes efficient development cycles.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving existing processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and quality.
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including reporting on DevOps progress, sharing the strategic vision, and gathering feedback to integrate into the DevOps roadmap.
  • Ensuring selection, management, and integration of the appropriate set of tools to support development, testing, and deployment activities across multiple projects.
  • Collaborating with software development, IT, operations, security, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to deployments and daytoday operations.
  • Establishing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for DevOps engineers to measure the efficiency and impact of existing DevOps practices on the software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technology field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing a team of 7+ members with demonstrable successful team delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical background with 10+ years in Development, Engineering and/or DevOps roles in highload production environments.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of systems and network infrastructure engineering and operations principles for both onprem and in Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of Azure and/or AWS.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse and challenging workload in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with building monitoring, observability, and incident response capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of organizational processes and extensive experience in implementing new procedures within a company.
  • Capability to synchronize strategies and achieve consensus across different organizational departments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in fostering teamwork and cultivating a positive team culture.
  • Solid understanding of security standards and best practices, proven track record of compliance certifications implementation.
