We are looking for a compassionate Internistto provide long-term, comprehensive care to our patients and manageboth common and complex diseases. You should be able to effectivelydiagnose patients and suggest a successful course of treatment. Asan Internist you must be able to prescribe and administermedications, immunizations, and other non-surgical treatments. Youshould also be able to develop long-lasting, rewardingrelationships with yourpatients.

JobResponsibilities

• Consultingwith patients to understand their symptoms and healthconcerns.
• Diagnosing and treating acuteillnesses, such as bacterial and viral infections, as well aschronic diseases and conditions, such as hypertension, heartdisease, or diabetes.
• Prescribing oradministering medication, therapy, and other specialized medicalcare to treat or prevent illness, disease, orinjury.
• Explaining procedures and discussingtest results or prescribed treatments withpatients.
• Monitoring patients'conditions and progress, and re-evaluating treatments, asnecessary.
• Providing health and wellness adviceto patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, anddisease prevention.
• Immunizing patients againstpreventable diseases.
• Maintaining detailednotes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests,and/or treatments prescribed, and testresults.
• Referring patients to other medicalspecialists, when necessary.
• Providing supportand advice to patients receiving long-termcare.
• Preparing official health documents orrecords, when necessary.
• Conducting researchinto the testing and development of new medications, methods oftreatment, or procedures to prevent or control illness, disease, orinjury.

RequiredQualifications andSkills:

• Specializationdegree and successful 5-years ofresidency
• Valid state licensure topractice
• Proven success with relevantprocedures and treatments
• Compliance with alllaws and hospital policies
• Minimum 3-5 years ofexperience in the specialty ispreferred
