We are currently seeking to hire a
Housekeeping Order Taker /
Coordinator.
As a Housekeeping Order Taker, you are responsible for all communication between the housekeeping department and other department whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  • Maintain regular and effective communication with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of housekeeping functions.
  • Monitor daily arrivals according to occupancy report in coordination with the Laundry and Housekeeping management.
  • Upkeep Holiday Inn brand guidelines and standards of service and operation and strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
  • Answer the telephone promptly and courteously and log down all incoming messages.
  • Input into Housekeeping dispatch system all requests; and relay the dispatch messages promptly ensuring that all the information given is accurate and complete, including engineering maintenance works.
  • Ensure tracking and monitoring of pending requests.
  • Ensure the proper handling of keys and follow up on key signing in and out; and report to security and Executive Housekeeper all lost keys/ devices or broken keys/ devices
  • Secure and log lost items daily, including the monthly disbursement of unclaimed articles to the colleagues who found the items with authorized gate passes TBC
  • Receive all newly purchased items delivered to the Housekeeping office, i.e. cleaning supplies, magazines, etc.

What we need from you
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years' experience in a similar hotel operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Computer/Technical skills include MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Also familiar with various hotel systems including POS, PMS and CRM platforms. Have the knowledge of IHG Way of Clean and its policies on room allocation etc.
