Description

Initiates the request for bidding process for services, supplies and equipment as per planned / unplanned requirements

  • Supports users develop RFP documentation in a manner that captures specifications as best as possible
  • Develops technical and financial selection criteria for tendered services
  • Proposes tender lists based on market research for required services
  • Ensures suppliers meet supplier qualification requirements
  • Oversees the tendering process and responds to all related clarifications
  • Performs / support technical evaluation of tenders
  • Develop contract requirements based on initial specifications and coordinate with Legal until contracts are set and are in place. This will include developing required service levels / payment terms / performance measurement.
  • Verifies appropriateness of budget codes and availability of funds
  • Determines and develops appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends and technologies, products and services;
  • Maintains central filing system for procured contracts in accordance with policies, regulations
  • Supports end user in contract management if needed
  • Prepares monthly contract reports to the Senior Manager Contract and Procurement
  • Resolves problems and issues arising from purchase of services, supplies and equipment with internal and external client
  • Educate end users on the RFP process
  • Build a portfolio of suppliers for goods and services
  • Needs to have at least 810 years of experience in tendering experience in areas of services. Consulting, events, IT etc
