Responsibilities:
As a Consultant Pediatrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive consultations, examinations, and assessments of pediatric patients, considering their medical history and developmental stages.
  • Ordering and interpreting relevant diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and other assessments, to aid in the diagnosis and planning of pediatric healthcare.
  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans, including medical interventions, vaccinations, and preventive care, while prioritizing the wellbeing and comfort of pediatric patients.
  • Providing patient education and support to parents or guardians, explaining treatment options, potential risks, and expected outcomes, as well as offering guidance on pediatric care and development.
  • Collaborating with other medical specialists, such as neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, and geneticists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and address multidisciplinary aspects of pediatric medicine.
  • Conducting followup appointments to monitor the progress of medical interventions, addressing any concerns or complications, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Actively participating in clinical research studies related to pediatrics, contributing to academic publications, and presenting findings at conferences to advance the field of pediatric medicine.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, fostering a positive learning and professional environment.
  • Adhering to ethical and legal standards in patient care, ensuring confidentiality, informed consent, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • USA: American Board Certification (Pediatrics)
  • 35 years' experience postspecialty.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
