Performs daily husbandry tasks includingadministration of vitamins and medication as directed Preparesfood, provides proper nutrition and constant care of animalsMaintains a safe, appropriate and sanitary living conditions forall animal habitats Applies proficient behavioral modificationtechniques.

This includes, but is not limited in developing andimplementing new behavior, training of naïve animals withminimum supervision, training behavior to completion withoutsupervision, proactively maintaining conditioned behavior, and theability to form relationships with most, if not all, of the animalsin assigned area Oversees the training and evaluation of colleaguesand animals as directed by the leadership Ensures guests, personal,colleagues, contractors and animals' safety throughconstant monitoring of the behavioral precursors of potentiallyharmful behavior by both animals and people Provides proactiveguest services through guest interactions, animal programs/displayspresentation, and responding to guest inquiries Performs assignedroles in education and general public programs in the respectiveareas Makes daily observations of animals and reports anyabnormalities to the leadership team Maintains all animal records,equipment, area responsibilities, and communication requirements ona daily basis Functions as Ambassador by displaying consideration,tolerance, cooperation, open communication, and reliability;maintains a consistent attitude, motivation, and ability to acceptfeedback Ensures all policies, guidelines, manuals and SOPs arefollowed at all times Consistently practices safe work habitsincluding, but not limited to the use of personal protectiveequipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations Completes allrequired trainings and maintains professional development andcompetencies Performs other duties as assigned
To beconsidered for this role you will need to have:
HighSchool diploma or equivalent 3 years of relatable animal experiencein a professional setting Demonstrate a thorough understanding ofavian husbandry and incubation principles and techniques Excellentverbal and written communication skills in English Basicmathematical skills Basic computer knowledge including MS Officeand animal recording system
