- Supporting the relevant BU with: -Dockings, special surveys, upgrades, modifications, breakdowns,major accidents/Incidents, major engine overhauls andprojects.
- Supporting would include: providingoverall technical support for any activities and ensuring on timeand on budget completion.
- In conjunction withBU technical personnel, prepare detailed and accurateproject/job/docking specifications.
- Liaise withCorporate Procurement regarding sourcing cost-effective spare partsand ensure that they are at the worksite whenrequired.
- Travel to vessel or site to supportabove activities as and when required.
- Managethe activities and involvement of support functions, including yardpersonnel, OEM service engineers, sub- contractors and serviceproviders.
- Interact with BU offices to promotea good working relationship and provide effective communication andsupport.
- Liaise with BU Heads and BU TechnicalManager/Superintendents regarding any technicalissue.
- In conjunction with Group Insurance andCorporate Procurement, interact with Insurance Brokers andUnderwriters to follow-up and report technicalclaims.
- Support and be an active part of atechnical investigation team to determine the effective root causeof technical breakdowns.
