In Finance, we work hand-in-hand with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined execution of strategic business objectives.

Our Strategic Finance team providex comprehensive financial insight into the business through regional and functional business partnering, forecasting and budgets, and pricing and incentives.


About the Role:


In this role, you will be joining our Rides Strategic Finance team for Middle East and Africa (MEA) and reporting to the Head of Finance, Mobility MEA.

This role supports across Central Operations, Strategy & Planning teams, Regional Finance teams and is in close collaboration with the HQ Finance FP&A and Accounting teams.

The role can be located in Dubai or Amsterdam.


With access to the regional business and across product teams/ verticals, you should be able to reach insights others might not make.

This person should be a key partner in budgeting, optimization and performance tracking to accomplish our financial and operational goals.


You will also be driving strategic analysis and insights to influence finance and business leaders around product portfolio, dynamics, marketplace investments and engagement levers, rider and driver operations.

Besides FP&A, you might be also participating in key strategic projects and establish value processes for investment asks across the region.

What You'll Do:


  • Financial modeling: develop models from scratch, improve existing models, and assemble sophisticated business reality/dynamics and interactions into comprehensive models and use those to assess tradeoffs, propose solutions and drive better decision making
  • Think strategically and implement: the models we build aid in decision making and strategy we operationalize our insights and support daytoday execution
  • Monthly close: report and analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan use insights to iterate on forecasts and build/discuss potential action plans with crossfunctional customers
  • Operational improvement: help improve our planning processes and ensure finance standard methodologies spread through the organization. Partner with accounting to provide input on management reporting needs and better understand our actuals
  • Innovate: we will push the boundaries beyond traditional forecasting. Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical abilities
  • Special projects: new initiatives always come up, you will have the chance to chip in beyond regular modelling

Basic Qualifications:


  • BS/BA in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics highly preferred
  • 46 years in Investment Banking, Corporate finance, Corporate Development/M&A, operational FP&A or Chief of Staff role at either a highgrowth company or a large, wellestablished organization
  • Strong Financial Modelling skills: standard methodologies are secondnature, your models are efficient, scalable and intuitive
  • Excellent communication and people skills: numbers are key, but a business is built with people
  • Selfstarter: You will take initiative, be dedicated, set and drive toward goals
  • Attention to detail: consistent with swift and high quality execution. Striking that balance can be daring and this should be a strength of yours

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Passion for financial modelling
  • Systems: understanding of enterpriselevel financial planning systems such as IBM Cognos TM
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • SQL skills: the ability to selfserve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective
  • CFA or CPA
