    Job Description

    AECOM Buildings are currently hiring an Associate - Structures, to join our design studio in the UAE. The Associate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team, ranging from Architects, Project + Design Managers and MEP Engineers , to deliver landmark projects across the region.

    The Associate will lead a structural engineering design team and will plan, schedule, and execute the design work on projects assigned.

    Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for making technical decisions regarding resolution of interfaces / clashes between disciplines
  • Leads the preparation of the Structural Engineering Design for all stages in accordance with the Initial Project Brief and Design Programme
  • Manages the preparation of the Structural Engineering Design in order to obtain required building permits
  • Leads the technical co-ordination of specialist sub-consultants as necessary, including the GDC / other AECOM offices and external sub-consultants
  • Promotes teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining positive morale and instilling a creative culture within the project
  • Proactively prepares, checks and coordinates project Structural Design models and drawings and ensure they meet Client requirements and Industry Standards and project BIM Execution Plans
  • Contribute, from the onset of a project, to the design of innovative and progressive design solutions that reconcile client's goals and priorities while fostering opportunities for design excellence
  • Manage interface between design team ensuring proper design support is provided in a timely manner
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Structural Engineering is required
  • Minimum 12 years post-graduate experience
  • Proven related professional experience in a Structural Engineering Practice
  • Experience of working on large-scale projects
  • Middle East experience preferred (3+ years)
