**Reports to
Team Leader, EIA/Business Group Leader - Environment

**Role Purpose: - participate on specific assigned environmental projects.
- contribute to/prepare technical reports.
- participate in inspections, surveys and audits.
- contribute to larger proposal preparation. lead smaller proposal preparation.**Critical relationships


Responsibilities:

Clients

  • When engaging with clients directly, ensure that GHD's values are upheld and ensure a positive client experience.
  • Put quality at the forefront of all work delivered to clients, ensuring that deliverables meet GHD standards and client expectations.

  • Collaborate closely with peers to help achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted team member, supporting others' when workload demands require, and performing with mínimal direct supervision when completing assigned tasks.
  • Contribute to the technically and commercially sound delivery of projects and promote client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Actively participate in Environmental service line initiatives, where relevant.

Performance

  • Support the leadership, planning, and coordination for each job including inputs from other offices, subconsultants and suppliers.
  • Deliver jobs on time, within budget, to adopted OHS standards and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Provide technical support on jobs.
  • Manage assigned tasks in compliance with GHD policies and guidelines. Contribute to quality technical reports and perform initial selfreview of deliverables before issuing for internal quality review.
    Specific skills & Knowledge
  • Assisting more senior professionals/technical officers in carrying out technical tasks.
  • Providing accurate investigations, complete data and calculations.
  • Conducting tasks in a manner which is consistent with prescribed testing, analysis, design or computation methods.
  • Develop specific skills relating to allocated assignments and investigations by:
  • Conducting assignment and investigative work, of specific scope and complexity in accordance with skill development, involving set elements of broader assignments.
  • Performing investigations using a variety of methods and techniques and report on same.
  • Making routine technical decisions following clearly defined procedures as guidance, and developing solution focused recommendations.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Cooperation with team members with sharing of information and knowledge.
  • Attention to detail. Analytical and problemsolving skills.
    Qualifications / Skills
  • Bachelor degree qualification in an environmental management/environmental science or related discipline.
  • Proven experience and a sound understanding of environmental best practices and legislation etc.
  • 35 years' experience in environmental consulting
