Job Summary
Border Security Trainer will operate as part of a multi-cultural Training Team located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires experience building realistic training environments.

The Border Security Trainer must be familiar with planning and conducting training seminars as well as conducting simulation-based training exercises.

The Border Security Trainer must have expertise in advanced brder security operations.

This position requires deep understanding of Border Security roles, responsibilities and organizations, and how these concepts and capabilities can be scaled, adapted, and trained to support the UAE.


Essential Functions

  • Support development of team roles, responsibilities and procedures
  • Plan and lead training seminars on border security
  • Coordinate, as required, with border security stakeholders
  • Identify and document lessons learned
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Border Security stakeholders and other agencies.
  • Exhibit culturally appropriate interpersonal and negotiation skills

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal oversight in a variety of roles
  • Demonstrated management and planning skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills (emphasis in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
  • Possess a valid Passport (with more than 6 months to expiration)
  • Master's Degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice and Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field
  • Ten or more years' operations and training experience with International or US Border Patrol at Ports of Entry and Border Control Sectors
  • Ten or more years of training and executing ground, air and seabased border surveillance operations
  • Serve as a trainer at the Border Patrol Training Facility
  • Served in multiple supervisory Customs and Border Protection roles within the last five years

Education and/or Experience:


  • Master's Degree in Homeland Security, Criminal Justice and Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field
  • Ten or more years' operations and training experience with International or US Border Patrol at Ports of Entry and Border Control Sectors
  • Ten or more years of training and executing operations
  • Serve as a trainer at the International or US Border Patrol Training Facility or Customs and Border Patrol Marine Training Facility
  • Served in multiple supervisory Customs and Border Protection roles within the last five years
