    • Acts as the Company representativewith the client and selected subcontractors during the programexecution. Frequently interfaces with upper-level management andclient personnel.
    • Establishes and maintains aclose working relationship with project design/engineering team,client representatives, andcontractors.
    • Maintains project controldocumentation, design drawings and specifications, back-chargedocuments, change orders, etc.
    • Monitorscontractor performance pertaining to schedule and conformance toplans and specifications.
    • Negotiates changes tothe scope of work with the client and keysubcontractors.
    • Markets and secures additionalwork with client.
    • Responsible for following upon instructions and commitments associated with theproject.
    • May participate in negotiations withregulatory agencies and in public meetings in support ofclients.
    • Oversees establishment of ProjectExecution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/QualityControl Plan, and other documents asrequired.
    • Establishes the program requirementsfor all areas of the project and monitors the draft and finaldeliverables for adherence to thesecriteria.
    • Plans, directs, supervises, andcontrols the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, andadministrative functions of the assignedproject.
    • Provide advice on field engineeringprocedures, construction methods, and financial matters tomanagement.
    • Assigns responsibility forexecuting project plans to key subordinates after carefulassessment of how to utilize their qualifications andstrengths.
    • Provides input to performancereviews and development plans for assignedpersonnel.
    • Plans, organizes, and ensuresadequate staffing, execution, and monitoring of all fieldengineering activities and related support operations throughliaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries,to create project teams capable of completing effective, qualitywork.
    • Discusses the qualifications required ofthe key project positions in specific detail with the profit centerand department managers.
    • Works with othermanagers, project engineers, and discipline leads to developbudgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of aproject.
    • Ensures that the project meets orexceeds goals established in these plans.
    • Workswith the key project individual to devise and execute actions plansto rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodatesignificant changes to the scope ofwork.
    • Advises the client and company managementof any such changes.
    • The Project Manager isspecifically responsible for maintaining current and timely changeorders.
    • Promotes technical and commercialexcellence on the project through application of Quality Assuranceprocesses.
    • Monitors and reports to managementon the progress of all project activity within the program,including significant milestones, and any conditions, which wouldaffect project cost or schedule.
    • Establishesweekly meeting to review project status and formulate actionitems.
    • Performs other responsibilitiesassociated with this position as may beappropriate.
